 REQUIREMENTS:             

  • Requires medical degree, completion of Anesthesiology 3-year residency, and board eligibility or board certification.  Must have or be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.  For Cardiac or Regional Anesthesiology positions, fellowship training preferred.

Our Anesthesiology Department has a number of active programs including Level I trauma, complex cardiac surgery, obstetrics, burn, and transplantation services including heart, lung, liver, pancreas, and kidney.  Our anesthesiologist participate actively in the operative care and perioperative evaluation of subspecialty patients, along with a proportionate share of other multispecialty anesthetics in an exciting and challenging academic environment, with an active anesthesiology resident training program and opportunities for clinical research and publication. 
 
The WPAHS Pain Management Center provides outpatient comprehensive pain management services for patients throughout Western Pennsylvania. The Center enjoys easy access to medical specialties integral to comprehensive pain management: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Psychology, Internal Medicine specialties, and Orthopaedic Surgery.  We offer a variety of sophisticated approaches for evaluating and treating chronic pain caused by an illness, injury, developmental disorder or other conditions.
