Job Summary: Transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility. Performs continuous observation, interpretation and communication of cardiac rhythms for patients being transported on a cardiac Monitor.

Responsibilities:

• Transports patients on cardiac monitors from their rooms to testing site and back on a scheduled basis; accurately analyzes and interprets ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting department. Includes use of the pneumatic tube system.
• Provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Maintains transportation equipment in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Licensure/ BLS and CPR preferred.
• Requires basic cardiac dysrhythmia training and/or experience interpreting rhythms.
