Shift: Daylight—8-4:30, days will vary
Job Summary: Evaluates and treats patients with injuries or diseases, resulting in loss of physical or functional abilities; supervises work performed by support personnel; effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families and members of the healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and establishes goals and plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires. (40%)
- Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard, and, possibly specialized, physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. (40%)
- Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital and regulatory standards. (15%)
- Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement, including committees and educational offerings. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensure as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure. Current PA Driver’s License may be required.
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and take appropriate action.
Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
