Shift: Rotating, Monday-Friday
Job Summary: Transports patients, visitors, and/or hospital staff in a safe and responsible manner to off-site locations in vehicles holding over 16 passengers; performs minor repairs on van as well as parking equipment. May function as a parking Cashier as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Transports and assists patients, visitors, and/or employees requiring escorts to parking facilities and off-sight locations and carries a mobile radio to maintain contact with base at all times.
- Maintains daily activity logs relevant to trips and completes pre-trip inspection for vehicle reliability.
- May perform duties of the parking cashier by maintaining equipment, verifying and collecting parking fees, emptying ticket bins and restocking entrance gate parking tickets.
- May perform other department functions as assigned such as maintaining a clean and well functioning environment by collecting trash, wiping parking equipment and sweeping garage.
- Maintains an annual employee health card, valid PA commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and adheres to random drug screens.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems and takes appropriate actions. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
- One year experience driving a vehicle requiring a CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement required.
