Job Summary: Provides service support and preventive maintenance on general biomedical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, ophtalmoscopes, vacuum regulators, SCDs, etc.) during normal working hours and on-call rotation as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to unscheduled service requests from users by performing initial problem verification, troubleshooting, and problem correction.
  • Completes scheduled maintenance in accordance with PM Inspection and Protocol management plan. Initiates and completes documentation after repair or PM is completed.
  • Assist in med equipment installation as required.
  • Assists other technical positions in Clinical Engineering and other departments in the system as required.
  • Attend manufacture service schools, in house training and self- directed study as required.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an electronic technical school required. Associate's Degree in bio medical or electronic engineering preferred.
  • 2 years hands on experience performing direct repair and maintenance on bio medical equipment preferred.
  • Works with minimal supervision requires independent judgment, problem solving and takes appropriate action. Performs tasks in accordance with general procedures, objectives and policies which have been defined by management.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
  • Current driver's license.
