Status: Full-time, Part-time and Casual are available 
Shift: Shifts will vary with start times of 5:30am, 6am or 10:30am
UNION POSITION

Job Summary: Gathers menu selections from assigned patients at the bedside and ensures the overall satisfaction of patients.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with assigned patients in an effort to gather menu selections.
  • Deliver and retrieves food carts in a timely manner. Ensures that patient trays are accurate according to the patient's diet prescription, and delivered on time and in accordance with the tray delivery schedule.
  • Corrects menus to reflect therapeutic diet prescriptions, as needed.
  • Accurately controls par levels of nourishments and floor supplies.
  • Completes assigned sidework in a timely fashion.
  • Accurately communicates special tallied menu items to production area. Completes forecasting tally.
  Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Associate’s Degree in culinary arts or clinical dietetics preferred.
 
Required Experience:
  • One year of food and nutrition or customer service experience required.
  • Experience in high volume institutional food service operations preferred.
  • Computer skills.
  • Familiarity with diets and diet terminology.
  • Knowledge of accrediting agency requirements preferred.
