Shift: Shift vary with start times between 5:30 am and 11:30 am

Job Summary:  Serves and assembles meals to hospital patients, visitors and employees.  
 
Job Responsibilities: 

  • Cleans work areas within the food and nutrition services department. 
  • Serves and assembles food according to departmental standards/policy and according to pre-established task assignments.
  • Accurately portions food items for employees, visitors, patients and guests.
  • Delivers patient food trays in a timely manner to ensure proper food temperature and quality of product.
  • Complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Utilizes proper food handling and food storage techniques when receiving, rotating, storing and preparing food.
 Job Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.  
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts as designated above.
  • Experience in high volume institutional setting preferred.
Education Requirements:
  • Experience in food services in a high volume institutional setting preferred
