Since 1978, Forbes Hospital has been providing quality care for the communities of eastern Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. As the area has grown, so has Forbes. A 349-bed facility with 15,000 inpatient admissions, 12,000 surgeries and nearly 50,000 emergency department visits annually, we bring an advanced level of care to our patients.

Forbes also became accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation as a Level II Trauma Center as of October 1, 2013. Forbes is the 31st trauma center in Pennsylvania.

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.

• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.

• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

• Current PA RN licensure in good standing.
• 1 year ED experience preferred
