Job Summary: Acts as a liaison between the client and the laboratory providing patient information and resolution of patient care issues.

Responsibilities:

• Reports laboratory results to clients using multiple technologies.
• Investigates client concerns and notifies appropriate personnel of resolution.
• Participates in programs to keep updated with current and changing technologies.
• Disseminates information to callers regarding lab operations.
• May also assist in specimen processing.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Computer skills required. One year customer service and medical terminology, preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
