Job Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for  data collection, manipulation, and analysis; teaching, coaching collaborating with Quality Team; designing reports to meet the needs of provider-facing staff; thorough knowledge of current pay for value contracts.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze data to recognize trends, identify outliers, and isolate variables. Present findings to Executives, Quality Consultants, and Process Engineers.
  • Develop reports for internal as well as provider facing use to ignite cost and utilization behavior changes, define gaps in quality of care, demonstrate incentive earning potential, and analysis to demonstrate system lost opportunity cost.
  • Collect and compile data for real time use at a patient, payer and Health System level for use by Quality Consultants, Process Engineers, Executive Team leaders, Practice Leaders, and Providers.
  • Apply pay for value industry knowledge to guide pragmatic decision-making through use of comparative reporting, research, and recommendations on priority focus and return on pragmatic investment and pay for value commitments.
  • Provide software user support to Quality Team members by acting as a resource on tools such as Tableau, Excel, and Access to improve the Quality Improvement Team's use of data. Coach the team on the best use of tables, graphs, ROI charts etc to create meaningful reports. Apply principles of Lean, Six-Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies to collaborate with and coach staff on effective use of data.
  • Expert in payer platform access, use, and support to Quality Team staff with platform needs; identify and support payer data challenges.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required- Business or Information Systems preferred
  • 5 years relevant work experience required
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Excellent high level Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Access database experience (creation & manipulation of databases); Experience with various informatics platforms designed to analyze data such as Tableau, Population Health , diagnosis groupings, or Crimson required.
