Job Summary: Performs all components of the registration process for physician practice(s).

Responsibilities:

• Performs department check-in/check-out procedures, including cash collections, reconciliation, obtaining authorizations, referrals and obtaining required regulatory documentation.

• Explains financial requirements to patients/guarantors. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Conducts patient interview, pre-registers/registers, collects demographic and financial data. Conducts follow-up as necessary.

• Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, takes messages, and routes calls to the appropriate parties.

• Utilizes various software and online verification systems for screening and to obtain authorization and referrals and required regulatory documentation.

• Completes documentation according to all regulatory agencies,including HIPAA.

• Performs clerical and administrative functions such as preparation of correspondence, filing, sorting mail, data entry, faxing, and copying.

• Performs other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to orienting new employees.

• Does require travel to various satellite offices to support physician(s).


Requirements:

• Licensure/ Driver's license is required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and take appropriate actions.
• 1 year experience in medical registration, billing, or other related experience preferred.
