Overview:

• A 20 bed state of the art Intensive Care Unit (constructed in 2015) provides the highest level of care to critically injured and ill patients. 
• The Hospital is a Certified Level II Trauma Center. 
• The unit provides care to Medical, Neuro, and Trauma patients.
• Seeking nurses to join a fast paced, adaptable, and skilled team.
• Nurses care for a variety of patients requiring a high level of nursing support.
• The unit is supported by dedicated Trauma Surgeons, Intensivists, and Physician Assistance/24 hours a day.
• Nurses at Forbes Regional Hospital are a part of an active Unit Based Practice Council and the unit is represented on all hospital councils.
• Nursing staff is encouraged to gain certification in areas of specialty. 

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.

• Current PA RN license 
• 3 years of ICU experience required
• CPR certification required
• ACLS preferred
