Job Summary:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the educational activities for the assigned
service, participating in meeting the educational needs for patient care service and maintains clinical expertise.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies.
Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, professional development and provides direct patient care.
Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current licensure as an RN in Pennsylvania, OR certification
Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and take appropriate actions.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Required Experience
2 years of experience in the Operating Room .
