DESCRIPTION:

Two Radiation Oncologists needed for community based Radiation Oncology clinics in Pittsburgh region. The facilities are a 1 hour drive from Pittsburgh suburbs.(Somerset & Clarion)

Physicians will be part of a Radiation Oncology Network with 13 radiation oncologists, 11 physicists, a well-developed management and support staff covering 9 facilities in Western Pennsylvania. The network also has a residency program, and clinical trials access. The group provides vacation and conference coverage as well as excellent technical, and peer review support.

  • One position is at an established free standing clinic with an excellent experienced staff and two medical oncologists on site. The opening is for spring to summer of 2014.
  • The other position is a new state of the art practice opening in the late spring of 2014 with Medical Oncology on site.

We seek physicians with good interpersonal and practice building skills who have expertise in general radiotherapy and image-guided IMRT, and the desire to work in a collaborative and collegial multidisciplinary environment.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree plus Radiation Oncology Residency training and have (or be eligible for) PA medical license. Must also be BC/BE in Radiation Oncology, possess valid DEA certificate, and be able to obtain hospital privileges. Knowledge of image guided IMRT preferred.
