JOB SUMMARY:

These career opportunities involve implementing and supporting Revenue Cycle applications related to the Epic system, including Epic Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing, applications that manage inpatient, emergency, and outpatient billing for hospitals and physician practices; Epic Prelude, an application that provides patient registration, address verification, and HIPPA-compliant eligibility tools to ensure accurate billing; and Epic Cadence, a patient scheduling application. These opportunities are for full-time positions in an expanding provider organization with more than 2,100 physicians and 17,000 employees. We have open positions that focus on Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Health Information Management, Financial Systems, Project Management and IT Architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality Revenue Cycle solutions.  Involved in the full systems development lifecycle and responsible for creating and maintaining project lifecycle documents and deliverables, including vision documents, supplemental specifications, testing plans, testing schedules, testing scenarios, testing outcomes, approvals, and training materials.
  • Assist in creating application design project deliverables, including vision documents, supplemental specifications, user designs, testing plans, testing schedules, testing scenarios, testing outcomes, approvals, and training materials.
  • Provide required business and/or technical support for both project and production related activities. Assure compliance to require standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interface with stakeholders and project teams to drive value, return on investments, and innovative solutions.  Provide alternative solutions, including vendor solution acquisitions that maximize benefits while reducing cost ­­– for example, through cost benefit analysis and pros and cons of solutions.
  • Accountable for all aspects of testing, including testing plans, scenarios, documentation, and defect management, and for ensuring that minimal production and user acceptance testing (UAT) defects are realized. Interface closely with the clinical, Revenue Cycle and/or technical staff on the team during all phases of the project, from unit and system testing to integration and UAT testing, culminating with implementation checkout and post-implementation support.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or High School diploma/Associate's degree and at least two years of relevant subject matter experience
Complexity of Work: Analyzes data processes, business processes, and interfaces to support the operational business areas. Utilizes project management methodologies to produce project deliverables. Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization. Provides ad-hoc training to users and team members.
Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions and/or other appropriate precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

  • Experience in implementing, supporting, and upgrading the following Epic systems applications: Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing.
  • Epic certification.
