Med Tech: Performs tests on blood and body fluids which are used for diagnosis and treatment of patients. Assists the supervisor in problem solving, interpretation of quality control, inventory control, training, implementation of new procedures and compliance with regulatory agencies. Acts as charge technologist. Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or in a Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology program is required. Prior work experience is preferred. ASCP - MT (American Society of Clinical Pathologists - Medical Technologist) or ASCP Specialty Certifications for the designated department. (examples: H (Hematology) or M (Microbiology) OR certification eligibility required) OR Med Lab Tech: Performs tests on blood and body fluids which are used for diagnosis and treatment of patients. Associate degree in medical laboratory technology is required. Prior work experience is preferred. ASCP-MLT (American Society of Clinical Pathologists-Medical Laboratory Technician) OR certification eligibility required.
