Job Summary: Installs, maintains and repairs the electrical power distribution systems, control devices and equipment used throughout the hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs to electrical equipment within established codes.
- Performs the electrical testing of all emergency equipment in compliance with JCAHO standards.
- Interprets drawings, specifications and electrical schematics to select and install a wide variety of electrical hardware.
Education: Technical / Trade School Diploma required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Electrician License.
Complexity of Work: This job has the freedom to identify and define any electrical problem that might develop throughout the campus, and can resolve the problem under the direction of supervision.
Required Experience: 3 years experience in a hospital environment or the equivalent experience; ability to understand electrical drawings.
