Overview:

• Seeking nurses to work on a 18 bed  Progressive Care Unit.
• Fast paced, high acuity, and adaptable nursing environment. 
• The unit provides care to a wide variety of patients (ie. trauma, stroke, pulmonary, cardiac.) 
• The Hospital is a Certified Level II Trauma Center.
• The unit is supported by a Internal/ Pulmonary Medicine Medical Director.
• Nurses at Forbes Regional Hospital are a part of an active Unit Based Practice Council and the unit is represented on all hospital councils.
• Nursing staff is encouraged to gain certification in areas of specialty. 

Job Summary: As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 Job Requirements:

• Current PA RN licensure in good standing is required. 
• 1 year of RN experience preferred but not required.  Candidates will be considered prior to graduation but must obtain a Pennsylvania RN License prior to starting.
• Preferred experience working with step down or ICU patients
