Job Summary: Prepares and serves meals to patients, employees, visitors, and catering customers. Maintains sanitation of equipment and work areas. Level of position will be determined by experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes proper food handling, portioning and food storage techniques according to departmental standards/policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains, assembles and stocks adequate levels of food items, products and supplies.
  • Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods and appropriate chemicals. Complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Interacts and serves patients, visitors, and employees, to ensure continuity of service.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned but not limited to cashier and/or catering functions and cart transport.

Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment and meet established timelines.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
  • Experience in food services preferred.
