Job Summary: Collaborates with the OR Service Manager in supervising, directing and providing peri-operative nursing care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises, develops staff and evaluates performance of cluster nurses, surgical technologists and ancillary staff in the completion of scheduled case load.
- Serves as a clinical resource in facilitating efficiency, cost effectiveness and safe patient care within budgetary constraints.
- Confirms implants and equipment are available and approved for use as per OR contracts under the direction and guidance of the Service Manager.
- Assists in the development of service specific competencies, service orientation and continued education programs.
- Ensures compliance with departmental policy and regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
- Current PA licensure as a registered nurse. CORN preferred.
- BSN required.
- Minimum of 3 years peri-operative nursing required. Supervisory experience preferred. Neuro experience required or Ortho Spine experience required.
