Scheduling Clerk- Full Time- Consultants in Cardiology
Schedules appointments and testing for patients by telephone or in person in an efficient and timely
manner. Completes Check-out process upon completion of office visit. Complies fully with the
philosophies, policies and procedures as set forth by SVCICD.

i Maintains information in a confidential manner.
i Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
i Performs related work as required.
i Provides support of other clerical areas, Front Desk, or SVCICD departments during peak times and or vacation/sick
calls.
i Monitor phone bank throughout the day and makes sure all phone messages are addressed by the end of business
day.
i Works in coordination with Saint Vincent Outpatient scheduling staff and maintains open communication with all staff.
i Notify patients of all scheduled and rescheduled appointments, testing any instructions via phone or by mail.
i Adds reminder notes in EHR for Physicians and Nursing of any and all testing scheduled.
i Checks out patients in EHR and enters name on recall list if necessary.
i Coordinates requested lab work.
i Accurately schedules follow up appointments and testing ordered in follow-up, hospital discharge, recalls, EHR and
check-out using Tiger, Allscripts and Order Facilitator.
i Registers new patients in Tiger, mails out new patient packet prior to office visit and requests records when scheduling patients.
i Answers New Patient overhead pages, verifying if established patient by checking name, DOB and SS# in Allscripts.
i Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduling system from recalls,
referrals and phone calls for all SVCICD locations.
i Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner via phone or in person and responds to routine requests for information.
i One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related MEDICAL OFFICE experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
