Job Summary: Communicates face to face with patients, visitors, and vendors; provides directions, general practice information and issues vendor passes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs telephone skills including answering, holding, retrieving and forwarding calls. (15%)
  • Listens and responds to patient's needs which may require giving directions and issuing vendor passes. (35%)
  • Performs other duties which may include but are not limited to maintaining conference room schedules, posts directories and signs daily, ensures cleanliness of the patient waiting rooms and disseminates mail. (20%)
  • Assists with maintaining and ordering office supplies/equipment. (20%)
  • Assists with practice operations which may include but are not limited to securing patient authorizations, confirmation of patient appointments and miscellaneous office filing. (10%)

Complexity of Work: Identify problems which would require supervisory intervention and refer these problems to the appropriate supervisor.

Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Required Experience: Experience with various computer software applications and medical office experience required.
