Job Summary: Oversees the cash revenue, lease card system, and patient valuables. Substitutes when necessary, for the Supervisor in his/her absence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets/guides patients and visitors and responds to inquiries to enhance customer satisfaction, requests special assistance for customers and assists customers in the proper use of the pay-on-foot parking system.
- Performs cashier duties for precise revenue collections and validation processes.
- Performs reconciliation functions for any payment station either manned or pay-on-foot at designated times according to departmental policy.
- Performs other department functions such as manning the information desk and maintaining the cleanliness of parking facility (e.g. sweeping the garage for trash, wiping down parking equipment).
- Ensures the collection of parking lease fees.
- Maintains adherence to policies and procedures governing the Patient Safety Deposit System, the guidelines that ensure timely reimbursement for lease services, and the policies and guidelines ensuring the integrity of the Lease Parking system.
- Operates hospital finance window.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required.
Complexity of Work: Works with minimal supervision requires some independent judgment, problem solving and the ability to take appropriate actions in volatile situations. Responsible for making recommendations and reporting issues to manager.
Required Experience: Four years cashier experience with strong emphasis on cashiering large amounts of revenue and multi levels of reconciliation and experience with pay-on-foot systems required.
