Job Summary: Manages daily operations of clinical areas and ensures positive outcomes when dealing with physicians, staff, vendors, patients and their families.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills, supervises staff, evaluates work, and recommends and implements approved disciplinary action.
- Provides clinical and operational management of clinical areas for the provision of high quality holistic patient care.
- Assesses and implements Performance Improvement initiatives and participates in the development of new programs.
- Plans and implements cost effective budgets and ensures that optimal reimbursement is received for provided services.
- Maintains departmental compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Promotes and ensures professional practice and continuing education throughout the assigned clinical areas.
- Performs the duties of a registered nurse as necessary.
- Frequent travel to satellite locations may be required.
Job Requirements:
- Current PA RN Licensure. Valid PA driver's license may be required.
- BSN preferred.
- 5 years clinical experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance theory, and ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred.
- Accountability for all activities in areas of responsibility. Authority to develop new methods, implement changes and initiate programs to meet the needs of patients. Independent decision making and problem resolution.
