Job Summary:
The Cardiac Monitor Tech Transport transports patients throughout the facility. Performs continuous observation, interpretation and
communication of cardiac rhythms for patients being transported on a cardiac Monitor.

Responsibilities:
  • Transports patients on cardiac monitors from their rooms to testing site and back on a scheduled basis; accurately analyzes and interprets ECG rhythms according to procedure.
  • Assists in coordinating multiple patient testing when necessary.
  • Provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
  • Maintains transportation equipment in good working order.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
  • BLS and CPR preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Incumbent has the ability to recognize significance and need for intervention with dysrhythmias and communicate information to appropriate individual.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
  • Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire is required.
