Job Summary: Delivers professional nursing care in the perioperative settings to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process in providing care during perioperative phase and coordinates the plan of care for the age appropriate population.
- Coordinates and performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient in the perioperative setting.
- Demonstrates competent technical skills to implement the intraoperative plan of care.
- Contributes to Division, Hospital, and Department goals.
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Incumbent has the ability to identify patient care needs and begin to prioritize patient care needs.
- Current PA RN license, or eligible for PA RN license.
- performed externship/internship or preceptorship in the OR
- 1 year RN experience required.
