Job Summary: Provides supervision of staff and area functions; may serve as a physician liaison. Performs prescribes diagnostic radiographic imaging and patient care services per established protocol. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in management of human resources and non-labor expenses and activities for the department; maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by regulatory bodies.
  • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately for independent diagnostic radiographic imaging per established protocols. Prepares for and assists physician while performing procedures. Prepares contract media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice.
  • Completes all required documentation for procedures, e.g. regulatory, billing protocol and image distribution.
  • Implements radiation safety and patient safety standards and provides technical expertise for development of protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(R) required. CPR certification may be required upon hire.
  • 4 years experience as a Registered Technologist.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
