Job Summary: Performs day to day clinical and patient care activities under the direct supervision of the professional nurse.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates competency in clinical skills (i.e. personal hygiene, nutritional needs, vital signs and specimens.)
- Communicates pertinent patient data accurately and utilizes time management skills to organize and prioritize patient care activities.
- Contributes to the achievement of departmental and organizational goals by maintaining the appropriate environment and providing adequate supplies and equipment daily.
- Assumes responsibility for own professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Follows Standard Precautions and/or other appropriate precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Nursing Student who has completed at least 3 terms or 1 full year of nursing school clinical rotations in an acute care environment.
