Job Summary: Provide care, safety, comfort and privacy of patients based on their individual needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides and documents direct patient care and activities, such as activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, assistance with exams, treatments and procedures and focused testing.
- Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking, patient transport, and equipment/appliance cleaning, checks and retrieval.
- Demonstrates effective communication (verbal and written) with patients, family, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.
- Communicates pertinent patient data accurately and in a timely fashion to the appropriate RN.
- Inventories supplies and equipment, orders, receives, delivers and maintains adequate levels to meet patient care needs.
- Accurately analyzes and interprets ECG rhythms according to procedure.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year patient care experience preferred
- Completion of the Cardiac Monitor class
