Diagnostic Neuroradiologist

 

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is seeking a new member for the Division of Neuroradiology.  Qualifications include certification by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology, Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology, and completion of fellowship training in neuroradiology; participation in the ABR Maintenance of Certification for Neuroradiology or eligibility for such is required.

 

The successful candidate will participate fully in a busy division which supplies services to four hospitals and three imaging centers, including a level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. The Division of Neuroradiology consists of seven neuroradiologists.  They provide a wide range of diagnostic and interventional services, including brain, head/neck, and spine imaging with CT and MRI.  Procedures performed include myelography, lumbar puncture, bone biopsy, disc space aspiration, neck biopsy, lumbar drain placement, and pain management services. Diagnostic and therapeutic neuroangiography services are provided by neurointerventionalists within the division. A physician’s assistant and resident(s) will assist with clinical care and procedures.

 

Equipment includes thirteen CT scanners, including a 64 slice dual source CT, 128-slice CT, multiple 64 slice CTs, dedicated procedure CTs, and 16-slice PET CT; computed and digital radiography; and nine 1.5 Tesla magnets.

 

The faculty supports a complement of 29 residents. The successful candidate will also actively participate in the training program in terms of clinical and didactic teaching to the residents and medical students.

As a campus of Temple University School of Medicine, academic appointment to the Faculty of TUSOM is available.
