Responsible for providing administrative and clinical leadership within the applicable division. Major responsibilities include evaluating patient care programs, coordinating QA activities, financial planning and management program development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures departmental compliance with DOH and JCAHO requirements.
- Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in their departments. Promotes quality, service excellence and performance improvement initiatives.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in department.
- Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget.
- Responsible for the promotion of staff development through recruitment and retention activities.
Requirements:
- Current PA RN license in good standing.
- Master's degree in Nursing Administration (finance focus) or Master's in Business Administration is required. MSN preferred. Completion of Master's degree within allotted timeframe will be required. Undergraduate or graduate degree must be in nursing.
- Certification in area of specialty required. Completion of specialty certification within allotted timeframe will be required.
- 5 years of clinical experience with 2 years of leadership experience. Prefer one or more years of clinical experience in area of specialty.
