Job Summary:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.
- Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population.
- Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner and in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
- Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
- Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.
- Ability to handle agitated patients, crisis situations on a diverse inpatient behavioral health unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
- Current PA RN license.
- 2 years recent RN experience within the last 5 yrs for external candidates and 1 year recent RN experience for internal candidates.
