Job Summary:

Performs and repairs all plant, general maintenance, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, refrigeration, communication; maintains all hospital related equipment both plant and clinical; completes work orders and preventive maintenance work orders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance request as assigned throughout the facility including preventive, corrective, emergency, and project types of work orders.
  • Evaluates routine and special repair requests in order to seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Performs various special projects and physical plant improvements.
  • Performs work on all scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Participates in the departmental QA process.

Requirements:

  • Stationary Engineering training, 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
  • 3 years of facility maintenance preferred
  • Complexity of Ability to identify and resolve problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
