Job Summary: Conducts occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families and members of the healthcare team. May oversee support staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • May complete components of patient evaluations as allowed by PA State Practice Act; provides occupational therapy interventions based upon the plan of care written by an occupational therapist utilizing standard, and possibly specialized, occupational therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
  • Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards.
  • Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including committees and educational offerings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements:

  • Licensure as a Occupational Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure. Current PA Drivers license may be required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work under supervision. Must be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and take appropriate action.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
