Job Summary:

Provides leadership and support to the Director of Reporting and Analytics by performing hospital facility reporting and analysis of the corporate revenue cycle. Analyzes and compiles financial results, trends and performance metrics and provides root cause analytics supporting departmental and leadership directives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, monitors and maintains the production and analysis of revenue cycle reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This includes ad-hoc report development, sensitivity modeling and creation and tracking of key metrics through standardized reporting and creation of dashboards. (35%)
  • Analyzes trends, evaluates work flows and performs deep dive analyses of issues/anomalies and provides recommendations and solutions for suggested remediation. (25%)
  • Develops enhancements to existing financial reporting, creates new reports and dashboards-automating where possible. (20%)
  • Mentors and trains less experienced employees with regular duties and special projects. Assures completion of projects and assists with prioritization and delegation. Provides assistance and training as needed to support end users of the decision support tools to ensure functionality is being maximized and fully utilized. (15%)
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures and enforces compliance. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Certification/ Registration:

  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Requires excellent organization, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires sound judgement and ability to work under high pressure situations, tight timelines and under minimal supervision to achieve the goals of the department.
  • Candidate must be technology savvy and have advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
  • Candidate must be familiar with decision support tools such as Mede Analytics or a similar application. Epic experience a plus.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational and financial environment.
  • Candidate will have excellent organization skills necessary to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously.
  • Candidate must have ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization; makes recommendations for financial and performance improvement.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, data analytics or similar discipline.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Licensure/ CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in finance, data analytics, business intelligence, and/or healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
