Job Summary: Supports the Accounts Payable Department through verification of receipt of goods and services, processing invoices, and recording of expenses while ensuring accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies receipt of goods and services in accordance with departmental policy.
- Processes invoices, check requests, and patient refunds on a daily basis to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors in accordance with Accounts Payable policy.
- Researches problem invoices and vendor statements, coordinates with Corporate Contracting, internal departments, and vendors. Works directly with customers to facilitate a timely resolution of the issues.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all vendor transactions to facilitate both internal and external audit requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years direct Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Works under routine supervision.
- Regular contact with employees and vendors as well as external organizations to investigate and respond to requests.
- Some assignments are self-generated in response to identified needs.
- Due to the nature of this position, the incumbent must utilize appropriate tact and discretion in dealing with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters; professional treatment of confidential information must be maintained.
