Java Developer - Mobile (f/m)

In late 2014 we started to develop first Home24 API for native applications on iOS and Android. Currently it turned to a unified API for all of our customer facing applications. For that we are building highly-available and scalable Java-based platform running in AWS and using all strength of its cloud services. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Java Developer to join the team and work on building and improving Home24 API. We’re looking for a great engineer to join our talented team who are self-starters, driven, bold and who are excited about exploiting emerging technologies to enable our business to solve complex problems.

This position is full-time and based in our great office in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and native mobile developers to implement Home24 APIs and backend services
- Build efficient and reusable Java code in a highly agile development process
- Identify, prototype and implement best practices
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Ability to write object oriented, structured, high-performance and reusable code
- Knowledge of Java 8, embed servers and AOP.
- Knowledge of libraries and frameworks Retrofit, Guava, Spring
- Experience with Maven and Gradle
- Experience in SQL/RDBMS and NoSQL
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/S
- Experience in building web-services (REST)
- Experience in writing tests and test-driven development
- Experience with Git and Github
