Senior Front-End Engineer (f/m)

We are looking for a great Senior Front-End Engineer who is passionate about developing customer-facing front end solutions that will deliver a great user experience - whether you’re on your smartphone, tablet or home computer. In joining our team you will get the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting and challenging problems we can offer. This position is full-time and based in our cool office in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Build beautiful, fast,efficient and reusable front-end solutions
- Build prototypes and proof of concepts to demonstrate emerging technologies
- Working with product managers and UX designers to implement the next generation of the Home24 e-commerce experience
- Use RESTful APIs for communication with our backend services
- Work in a small agile team collaborating with designers and other engineers taking features from concept to production
- Identify and adopt best practices for software and front-end engineering
- Make demos for the whole company to share achievements
Skills and experience you have
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML5/CSS3); 4+ years of experience in building web applications
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for the UI
- Working experience with React.Js, preferably with REDUX. Practical knowledge and experience in jQuery, ES6 and JavaScript frameworks like Backbone and Angular
- Working experience with Javascript testing.
- Familiar with the use of RESTful APIs in modern Frontend Applications
- Node.js and AWS stack experience is a must.
- You are passionate about mobile first thinking and development (responsive / adaptive)
- Experience in deployment automation and continuous delivery is a plus
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or appropriate work experience
