We are seeking a talented and creative data scientist to help optimize the product experience for both members and non-members. This is a high-impact position where your analysis and interpretation of results informs decisions affecting millions of consumers. The role covers a broad range of subject areas, with a unique opportunity of performing data and analytics research over all data available from a campaign (by consolidating social media data, search data, display data, TV data, CRM data, etc.) and predicting future consumer behavior
Reporting of the role - This role reports to Head - Insights with dotted line reporting to Head – Marketing effectiveness APAC

In 3 months:
- You will be up to speed with project(s) requirements, Data and Analytics Platform and have a good understanding of the overall workflow of projects and processes.
- You will be working with other research scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to discover predictive insights, and translate them into improved decision making and performance outcomes.
- You will have completed 2 mini-projects which are designed to familiarize yourself with this industry, and utilizes your scientific and programming skills.
In 6 months:
- You will be leveraging on Data tools to build novel statistical and machine learning solutions, models and prototypes accurately and efficiently.
- You will be keeping up with recent advances in Big Data processing, machine learning and optimization.
- You will have started to build relationships with the key decision makers within the current pipeline.
In 12 months:
- You will have deep technical knowledge of the Data and Analytics tools and models, and the ability to conceive, architect and build key analytics components to suit our business needs and bring value to our customers.
- You will be working closely with key Client management teams for potential matured research technology transfers into large-scale, high availability live production systems.
Responsibility: In this exciting role, you will determine approach, method, plan and perform Live Audience Clustering, Look-alike and Insights Modeling, etc
- Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how the users interact with the client’s core/business products
- Perform data analysis to inform a broad range of decisions about the products and operations of the company, including some of the most impactful questions facing the business.
- Help understand user behavior, preferences, and perceptions by conducting user research or analyzing user data.
- Build predictive models; design, conduct, and analyze surveys and experiments; and conduct other analyses to answer strategic or operational questions.
- Help the company make better use of data by extracting and making it easy to access the most actionable intelligence that can be derived from it.
You as the ideal candidate
- 3+ years relevant experience with a proven track record of leveraging analytics to drive significant business impact
- Strong programming skills and a proven ability to learn new programming languages
- Experience with distributed databases and query languages like Hive is a plus
- Strong data visualizations skills to convey information and results clearly
- Proficiency with a statistical analysis tool such as SQL for extracting and structuring data, Proficiency in the use of Python or R, SAS for processing and analyzing data.
- Experience with building, applying, and evaluating predictive models.
- Experience in the use of data mining and exploratory analysis.
- Ability to work independently and drive your own projects
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
