The Maxus ESP practice is one of the fastest growing practices with 100% growth in YOY. As the Associate Creative Director, you will be responsible for the P&L of key clients in Maxus ESP West, instrumental in identifying new content streams, building new partnerships and looking at consumer focused content marketing solutions for brands across mediums. You will work in collaboration with vertical experts and a larger network of 200+ client teams, and with 50+ preferred industry partners. You should have worked in a production house/television channel/digital agency/multi-channel network.

Measures of success:

In three months:

  • Up to speed with Maxus ESP’s value proposition and be able to articulate this confidently. 

  • Exposed to live projects and pipeline to understand the work & process.
  • Started to build relationships with the key decision makers within Maxus and strategic partners.
  • Develop and nurture the team with new thinking on Branded Content to be adapted in existing or new proposals, be it the use of emerging technology, integration of digital & social, use of influencers, and/or partnerships.
  • Collaboration with Digital, Insight and Activation
  • Streamline and strengthen partner eco-system
  • Active client engagement

In six months:

  • Developed a project pipeline at each stage of opportunity development
  • Lead Branded Content project brainstorms and develop proposals that are highly integrated with the other units within Maxus and/or specialist units within the GroupM network.
  • Deliver and get client sign-off on Branded Content proposals with a strong focus on strategy.
  • Manage and work with the team to continuously be in the pulse of what’s emerging in Branded Content
  • You will have started to be the key client contact on projects for the region.
  • Develop and implement Content Day for 2 key clients, in partnership with Indian or International partners.

In 12 months:

  • Get award wins across key forums
  • Profile ESP as best in class
  • Deliver Region’s annual content targets

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Conceptualizing and leveraging use of content for brands for active engagement with consumers & meeting brand challenges/ objectives
  • Evangelizing the use of content in brand media plans for teams across clients
  • Management and running of a profit centre responsible for Content Services
  • Development, pitching and execution of projects across media touch points and clients / relevant media partners
  • Deal negotiation and closure with broadcasters, film, event owners, film producers and TV producers for a win-win proposition for all parties concerned
  • Supervision of production budgets, contracts and other commercial terms between all parties involved
  • Will be working closely with the central Group M team for market opportunities and execution and with business teams and GMs for brand / client understanding.

  • Have great client servicing skills
  • Have market relationships in Channel, Production and Entertainment
  • Have a keen understanding of audience behaviour and can show an ability to draw actionable insights from it
  • Understands the various genres of television and film and has created content for the same (all mediums along with digital)
  • Have an experience of working with diverse teams & excels in people interactions
  • Isn’t wary of getting their hands dirty or stepping into the trenches
  • Will need to have a minimum experience of 8-10 years
