Reporting of the role

This role reports to Planning Director, Maxus Shanghai.

Measures of success –


In three months :

  • Have an understanding of the agency portfolio of clients
  • Manage all day-to-day assignments in an effective way

 

In six months :

  • Assist line Manager in annual review/planning proposal for the client.
  • Start to build a relationship with specialists from client side.

 

In 12 months:

  • Be the person whom the client goes to for day-to-day activities. Able to propose ideas and activities to answer identified challenges.
  • A strong knowledge of clients' marketing challenges and be able to provide media recommendations/solutions to address clients' business needs.
  • Mentor new Planners/Interns and assist in leading a small scale project (identify need, formulate idea into plan, set the scope and present to the Manager).

 

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Act as the senior person in the team and manage daily execution jobs.
  • Denvelop implementation media plans and monitor the whole process from briefing to post buy.
  • Ensure that campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies
  • Oversee/contribute to the preparation of detailed implementation plans for all channels.
  • Preparation of competitive analysis with the support of the Planner.
  • Analyze trends in the marketplace and share the information with clients.
  • Present media points-of-view, market scene updates, media flashes etc. to clients (to be verified by the Planning Director in advance).
  • Work with internal specialist resources and group resources.

 

What you will need:

  • 3 years of media planning experience, with strategic planning experience in traditional or digital media 
  • An independent, self-driven individual with highly responsible nature.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing complexity and challenges.
  • Energetic, think differently, clear about career objective.
  • Of course, you'll need to be fluent in Mandarin and speak some English.
