Product Director, Mobile and Performance
Description
Xaxis provides industry leading marketing solutions to advertisers using data and technology platforms to more efficiently acquire and optimize digital media while delivering performance for clients. You will primarily focus on key technology execution that strengthens Xaxis’ capabilities around cross device tracking and targeting, mobile app and mobile web performance along with various other mobile specific initiatives.
Overview of job
Today Xaxis operates a successful business as audience consultants and experts in programmatic execution across a variety of digital channels. Xaxis will launch a new suite of platform-agnostic digital performance marketing products with a primary focus on mobile enablement. You will be a leader in addressing quality in the Chinese advertising ecosystem, taking on issues like viewability, fraud, and data gaps. You will be based in Shanghai, China.
Reporting of the role
You will report to the Head of Product, Xaxis China.

Measures of success –
In three months:
- You will be able to articulate the vision of Xaxis, its suite of product and its capabilities confidently
- A deep understanding of Xaxis’ proprietary platforms and technologies along with a good understanding of key partner capabilities and the ecosystem.
- Create detailed business cases, specifications and maintain an active performance product roadmap to achieve both short and long-term strategic objectives.
- Establish rapport with Operations team to support and troubleshoot mobile and performance campaigns.
In six months:
- Drive detailed product requirements for cutting-edge implementations of a performance solutions stack, both improving on existing offerings and designing new solution.
- Champion client needs; ideate and push forward feature enhancements and software development that further support clients business.
- Own product commercialization plan, go-to-market strategies for performance product offerings along with associated packaging and pricing, service level agreements etc.
In twelve months:
- Drive efforts to evaluate application solutions, conduct supporting research in build vs. buy evaluations, and assess partnerships to achieve business goals.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose plans to streamline operations and lower costs without compromising the health of the business.
- Establish success metrics and assess product performance to promote client retention.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Ensuring current products are meeting and exceeding performance and capability expectations.
- Developing framework, roadmap and go to market strategy for all product and enablement initiatives.
- Work with local and global partners to define specifications of features and new performance products.
- Understanding emerging trends and opportunities in China with consideration for global market trends.
- Managing partnership plans and ensuring close relationship with operations and client development.
What you will need:
- 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on mobile products, technology and media.
- Strong technical competence and advanced knowledge of digital marketing technology and platforms, including analytics, supply side platforms, networks, ad serving technology, data management platforms, RTB, DSPs across several digital media channels.
- Experience working with broad cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams with ability to influence the opinions of internal constituencies, executives, clients and partners to adopt new strategies and take action.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey technical and advanced concepts in precise and clearly understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to read and modify HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in an advertising context.
- Independent, organised and motivated individual with a can do attitude.
