Position at MEC

We are looking for an experienced media analyst to join MEC business planning and research team. You need to understand the business needs of internal stakeholder, solve their problem by using data and also need to be highly analytical and able to translate data into business insights.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Head of Business Planning and Research.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Have an understanding of the requirements and portfolio of clients.
  • You will be working with data tools to provide strategic solutions.

In six months:

  • You will have an in-depth technical knowledge of the data and analytics tools and models. It will help to add value in meeting business goals.
  • Good communication with internal stakeholders.

In 12 months:

  • You will have started working on core KPIs.
  • You will have started to build relationships with the key decision makers within the current pipeline.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage all reporting (client and regional reports).
  • Manage all data related to your client.
  • Keep a track of KPIs.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret media trends or patterns.
  • Providing day to day solutions to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility of accuracy of data.

What you will need:

  • Candidate must possess at least a master’s degree in business administration, statistics, marketing or finance.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in media/marketing research and analytics.
  • Must be skillful in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good with numbers and capable to transform raw data to information.
  • Knowledge about consumer research.
  • Experience using Kantar, Infosys and any other consumer multimedia tool.
  • Strong professional acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to take initiative and to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in high pressure situations.
