The Manager of Insights and Analytics is a key leadership role within our team in China. 

Overview of job

As the Manager of Insights and Analytics, you will be responsible for driving the data, analytics and audience agenda across all internal teams and clients in China. You will have a primary responsibility for the continued development of our analytics offering in China, and the direct management of a team of analysts. More broadly, you will be expected to inspire and influence other internal teams that make use of data and analytics, such as the Optimization teams.

Measures of success –

In 3 months:

  • You will be able to articulate the vision of Xaxis, its suite of product and its capabilities confidently
  • A deep understanding of Xaxis’ proprietary platforms and technologies along with a good understanding of key partner capabilities and the ecosystem.
  • Create detailed business cases, specifications and maintain an active performance product roadmap to achieve both short and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Establish rapport with Operations team to support and troubleshoot mobile and performance campaigns.

In 6 months:

  • Drive detailed product requirements for cutting-edge implementations of a performance solutions stack, both improving on existing offerings and designing new solution.
  • Champion client needs; ideate and push forward feature enhancements and software development that further support clients business.
  • Own product commercialization plan, go-to-market strategies for performance product offerings along with associated packaging and pricing, service level agreements etc.

In 12 months:

  • Drive efforts to evaluate application solutions, conduct supporting research in build vs. buy evaluations, and assess partnerships to achieve business goals.
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose plans to streamline operations and lower costs without compromising the health of the business.
  • Establish success metrics and assess product performance to promote client retention.


Responsibilities of the job:

As the Manager of Insights and Analytics, you will lead the development of analytics studies, including but not limited to Attribution Modelling, Path to Conversion analysis, Audience Insights analysis, Brand Impact studies, Reach studies and Campaign Delivery analysis. You will also play a pivotal role in Audience Planning, and Audience-related measurement and optimization methods. Finally, you will be expected to source and work with 3rd party vendors, ranging from technology providers through to data suppliers, to ensure that our data, insights and analytics methods continue to lead the market.

What you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or mathematics/statistics
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Experience working with a range of different analytics methods, approaches and tools
  • Experience working with 3rd party data providers
  • Understanding of the digital media ecosystem and technology
  • Extensive knowledge of all available ad tracking and ad serving partners in China is preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for digital marketing (brand and performance)
  • Excellent Chinese and English skills (speaking and writing)
