Team Airtel - GroupM is looking for an energetic digital media professional who will be responsible for driving performance business of one of its client in the telecom sector. As the Engagement Manager, you will lead the client interaction and manage interaction with internal stakeholders. You will need to lead from the front, be proactive in identifying new opportunities.
Reporting of the role
You would be reporting in to the Head Digital Strategy.

Measures of success:
In three months,
- Have a solid understanding of your client portfolio, their people, their business objectives, our performance strategy and our measures of success
- Have developed a thorough understanding of the client’s business and our differentiation in market
- On Top of client KPI’s
- Drive performance marketing strategy
In six months,
- Help the relationship with the client mature
- Independently managing your client portfolio
- Being on top of Industry Updates from technology, competition & functionality perspective
- Should have identified new opportunities within the client system
In 12 months,
- Involved in the continued development of the Performance offering, proactively engaging in new business opportunities
- Maintained a positive, motivating and inspiring team culture
- Be the go to person for all client requirements on performance marketing
Responsibilities of the role:
- Full responsibility for end-to-end customer engagement including business analysis, business solution architecting, managing scope and schedule, delivery & optimization and client management
- Understand client’s Business Objectives and Digital Marketing strategy
- Strategizing Client’s Marketing brief & take prioritization decisions for the team to deliver on
- Creating customized & impactful presentations to showcase performance impact
- Be heart, mind and voice of client
- Opportunistic around cross-selling & up-selling to grow client relationship
- Matrix manage a team of channel strategists and business operations team to drive multiple programs to completion
- Being on top of Industry Updates from technology, competition & functionality perspective
- Harness key relationships with client, internal stakeholders / partners and publishers to ensure consistency of message and a coherent communications plan
What you will need:
- 5+ Years of strong client servicing experience in digital media
- Functional understanding of performance / biddable media (technical understanding is definitively a plus)
- A strong understanding of online marketing coupled with excellent numerical / analytical ability. The ability to translate complex data sets into simple-to-understand terms and reports
- Core skills in search – both paid and organic
- Experience in display and retargeting – knowledge of DMP
- Strong relationship management skills
- Proven ability to optimise media agency relationships
- Strong communication and presentation skills
