Overview of job
As a Media Planner, you will work alongside Media Managers and Directors on various accounts. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day media planning activities and client relationships, and also supporting the day to day running of client business.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Media Manager.

Measures of success –
In three months:
- Receive great feedback from co-workers and key client contacts as a result of strong communication both internally and externally.
In six months:
- Have the Media planner role under control, with strong knowledge of the various media vendors utilized & become a trusted team member to ensure seamless execution of media plans across these media platforms.
In twelve months:
- Have the ability to independently manage campaigns of the various accounts with little supervision and be able to proactively propose media solutions to drive effective results for the business.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Work closely with internal teams at Maxus (including specialists) to execute campaigns flawlessly and consolidate reporting
- Understand your client’s business, including the industry and competitive landscape
- Make strategic media recommendation for various media types (OOH, Print, Broadcast, and Digital)
- Exposure to client and integrated teams will be needed
- Work with key media partners for implementation planning and negotiations
- Presentation of implementation ideas to clients, across different platforms
- Work with the team on competitive reporting and analysis
- Ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies
- Develop and build relationships with clients
- Work with internal specialist resources and group resources
What you will need:
- 1 year of experience in media agency, including client-side or media owner capacity
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources
- Competent in communications planning, media planning and buying across all platforms with a good understanding and working knowledge of both traditional and new media
- Shows a depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations
- Strong analytical mind, good flair of creativity and with an eye for details
- Strong communication and presentation skills
