GroupM | Associate Analyst, SEO
Description
You will be responsible for the effective delivery of client SEO services either directly where within competence, or by contributing to projects managed by other team members. There may also be communication with GroupM offices or external vendors.
The Associate SEO Analyst role has been created as a result of strong growth in our client base throughout the last year, and to fulfil delivery of new projects. In particular, we have a number of existing and expected clients who are regional in nature, requiring consultancy and deliverables for markets across the APAC region. Therefore we are looking to increase our language and local market experience. You will be responsible for managing production and delivery of SEO deliverables in English and other APAC languages, dependent on competency.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Director, SEO.

Measures of success
In three months:
- Gain understanding of existing processes and tools to ensure successful delivery of client work.
- Develop an understanding of core SEO concepts and how they can be leveraged to improve client’s website performance.
- Become familiar with key clients in Japan market in order to assist in development of project deliverables.
In six months:
- Ability to develop strategic guidance to clients which will have positive impacts on their digital market goals.
- Successful completion of industry certifications and demonstration of knowledge and concepts learned
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within the Agencies.
In twelve months:
- Take ownership of existing SEO projects.
- Retention and growth of Agency SEO business and contribute towards revenue targets.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Delivery of SEO projects, commensurate with experience.
- Translation/Localisation and quality assurance for APAC markets where the candidate has language capabilities.
- Diligently pursue all training and knowledge sharing to develop specialist SEO skills.
- Keep abreast of current search engine optimization strategies and methods.
- As necessary, liaise with clients, and agency account management teams to ensure campaigns are managed effectively.
- Develop and improve SEO processes & procedures wherever possible.
What you will need:
Candidates will have demonstrated academic or professional standards of language proficiency and associated local market knowledge in Japan.
In addition, the candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Japanese. Other regional languages advantageous.
- Native Japanese or holding a JLPT N1 or N2 certification preferred.
- Ability to translate and localise between Japanese and English. (We will provide a short writing test upon interview).
- At ease with reading and analysing text materials in Japanese.
- An interest in Internet/Digital Marketing.
- An understanding of writing for the web.
- Be a continuous learner and self-starter, capable of researching and assimilating new subjects quickly, in response to the changing nature of the digital landscape.
- Ability to present and articulate concepts to varied audiences.
- Project management skills and cross-functional skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite of programs
