We are seeking for a high-performing individual who is capable of managing a team within MediaCom.
MediaCom, the largest media agency of GroupM is looking for talented and passionate individuals to join the Group as Media Manager. As Media Manager, you will have a huge opportunity to showcase your skills as you work across local and multinational brands/categories.
Reporting of the role: This role reports to the Associate Media Director in the Philippine office.

In three months, you would have…
- Be able to function independently and establish a strong working relationship with the team and is able to fully understand and deliver on time all day to day requirements for accounts being serviced.
In six months, you would have…
- Be able to work with the team to deliver within schedule all quarter and semestral requirements like media reviews and communications planning decks.
In twelve months, you would have…
- Be able to establish a strong working relationship with Clients as reflected in established Client feedback mechanisms like The Referral Ratings (TRR), Client-Agency Performance Evaluation (CAPE), Performance-Based Remuneration (PBR) etc.
Responsibilities of the role: Be prepared to get involved! The office work is fast-paced and exciting but that means you need to be ready to adapt to challenges and have good prioritization skills. We’re not looking for someone who will just copy and paste previous media plans for new briefs We’re going through a step change as we move away from just best practice execution but also covering best practice strategic thinking too. Shy and retiring wallflowers may find the role tricky too as there is a lot of face-to-face time involved in the role, not only presenting to clients but also internally to the rest of the MediaCom team. We should be ideas led and creativity is crucial. Owning that one thought, that strategy and that one thing that puts us in the driving seat of a campaign is an important goal for every project we undertake.
What you will need:
- Lead one of the groups within a business unit in terms of media planning and buying.
- Directly service clients and support groups (eg creative partners, activations and digital teams) to deliver integrated communications plans for brand requirements
- Ensures key deliverables to clients are met or achieved
- Ensures media metrics are guarded and achieved in all buying requirements and media executions
- In charge of achieving best possible PBR for the agency through beyond average scores in media savings /buying KPIs, Business KPIs and client agency performance evaluation
- Minimum 5 years experience in media planning and media buying.
- Strong Digital and Integration experience/skills
- Extensive Media Planning background
- Media Buying and Negotiations not limited to middle management only
- Highly skilled in Excel, Powerpoint, AGB and IMS Nielsen Tools
- Exudes leadership, and can lead team of at least 5pax
- Cohesive in understanding client businesses
- Fluent and confident
- Willing to work with exciting new accounts and must be open with developing media innovations for the company and clients
