As an Associate Director, you're a quite important role to support director to serve one clothing retailer client. You need to have good media sense, curiosity and passion to work with a client which need fast reaction and innovation mind-set.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to Director, Strategic Planning

Measures of success –
In three months:
- Understand client’s business and work with director to ensure the daily operation smoothly
- Have smooth communication and relationship with client’s product team and manager client’s expectation for upcoming campaigns
In six months:
- Support director to lead the planning team and provide tailor-made goal for each team members
- Well support client’s next 6 months strategy with innovation ideas
- Become the key contact window and familiar with client’s business
In 12 months:
- Became the key person to manager client’s product campaigns
- Has successful case as achievement
Responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee and supervise all aspects of media planning, client and agency relations and personnel development within portfolio of clients
- Compile and input into individual goal setting for all members of team and ensure regular discussion and appraisal of meeting of these objectives and adherence to job specifications
- Be responsible for team structure and resource allocation for each client working with the Director to ensure optimum and adequate resource for each client
- Seek out and exploit opportunities with current clients to strengthen relationship, create new revenue streams and to improve overall MS rating with client via regular SWOT analysis with managers
- Ensure all members of team attend and complete all relevant training courses
- Have regular dialogue with other Associate Directors and senior managers in MS to exchange ideas, techniques and issues to encourage greater inter team communication
- Be an advocate of creative media thinking to all members of teams
- Have senior level direct media owner contact to facilitate MS profile and in the development of initiatives
- Be actively involved in companywide issues such as training and recruitment and to contribute ideas and initiatives to Directors to improve staffing, client and agency partner relations
- Act as an ambassador and evangelist for MS to all external parties at all times and to clearly understand and be able to communicate the company objectives, culture and credentials
What you will need:
- A minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in relevancy media industry.
- Broad background , exposure to and experience in the entire research, planning and implementation process
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills both in English and Chinese, strong selling skills, strong on numeracy, literacy and accuracy
- Possess thorough market and industry knowledge – historical and current and to identify opportunities
- Possess sound financial management skills i.e. knowledge and commercial awareness and demonstrate business acumen
- Significant experience at all levels of agency-client relationships
- Experience on manage and motivate employees, clients and suppliers
- Knowledgeable about key personnel and leadership of all Mindshare disciplines and practices
- Ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
- Retail related experience is preferred
