As the Digital Group Head at MediaCom Indonesia, you will lead a set of key clients on their digital media needs with the support of a team of two (or three) digital media planners. You will lead digital planning and supervise operations on the brands handled.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • As the team grows, this role will be responsible to nurture the digital team and develop capabilities in them which will enable the team to deliver path-breaking digital innovation and make an invaluable contribution to the client’s business
  • Foster a desire to increase knowledge within the digital space, understanding of differences across various markets and how to effectively use digital media across the region
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients across multiple disciplines from Media, Brand Marketing and Advertising Development and with key partners like PR and Creative Agencies
  • Integrate effectively within the Client Teams in Indonesia
  • Create relationships with Media Owners to enable seamless and value-added media buying
  • Understand cultural nuances and develop strong relationships within the teams across the Asia Pacific region.

In six months:

  • Evolve overall digital service offering for all MC clients and prospective clients
  • Manage all aspects of digital advertising for MC to meet client and agency objectives
  • Ensure effective coordination within each team to ensure client requirements are met
  • Deliver best in class digital planning, campaign management and optimization services on key brands

In 12 months:

  • Provide digital expertise to develop the client’s use of digital and promote the innovative use of digital platforms
  • Work with internal and external partners to create class leading digital strategies and tactical plans
  • Evolve use of measurement systems to provide greater insight into ROI of digital plans
  • Drive strategic & tactical innovation across media platforms, including display, video, search, mobile, social
  • Deliver best in class insights & analytics for all digital activities across Indonesia
  • Support country teams to deliver insights across all digital platforms

Responsibilities of the role:

The role of the Group Head is to lead strategic digital planning for a group of MediaCom accounts. The 3 key areas of responsibility are

  1. Market leading strategic planning across Display, Social Media, Mobile, multi-media integration and tie-ups with leading media owners in the digital space for Indonesia
  2. Delivering best in class analytics & insights
  3. Work in an integrated manner with the MC Communication Planning and strategic teams

What you will need: Under graduate degree in communication or media or business management (Post-graduate/masters preferred)

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in digital media (or a role that covers above knowledge areas)
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and spoken)
  • High confidence levels to work with mid to senior level clients (both local and regional/ global)
  • Knowledge required in - digital media insights and analysis for planning, reporting and insights on campaigns, social and mobile advertising, performance marketing and programmatic buying
  • Candidate should be able to present thoughts, plans and ideas in a clear and succinct manner (on a PowerPoint, Excel, or otherwise)
